It does sound a little time consuming but it doesn't really take that long. Perhaps a half hour morning and night, to bring the cows in and out, give them some feed and to move the hot wires. When changing a new paddock it does take a little longer as all of the lines have to be taken down and set up in the new paddock, so that is left as a weekend chore. Probably more than what most people do spend with their cattle, but we would be there in the paddock checking on them anyway twice a day, so not too great an impact on our time. I suppose it also is as they say, if you really want to do something you will always find the time, so we make the time to manage our cattle this way. Everyone has to use procedures and principles that suit themselves, and the type of property that they have. We purchased this property because we knew that we could make this work with the way the property was set up. We looked for along time to find something suitable.
